Poll shows more Americans support legal abortions DENVER (KDVR) -- A new poll taken last week showed more Americans support legal abortions following the Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade last year.According to the Gallup poll, nearly 70% of Americans say abortion should generally be legal in the first three months of pregnancy. Gallup said that is a record high with the most support since it started the survey 27 years ago.At the same time, it also showed more people identify as pro-life than last year. Wyoming’s first-in-the-nation abortion pill ban blocked before it takes effect Nicole Hunt with Focus on the Family spoke with "Colorado Point View" on the poll results. "Most Americans are somewhere in the middle and they certainly don’t embrace that kind of extreme abortion positioning. Unfortunately, that is the position here in Colorado," Hunt said. "That’s why a lot of women come here for their late-term abortions but I think as long as the abortion lobby is going to continue to push for abortion on demand for a...

Kyle Gibson, bullpen hit hard as Orioles fall to Mariners, 13-1, in most lopsided loss of season Kyle Gibson walked off the mound after Friday’s third inning at Camden Yards at a time when, on an average night, might have been when the game was ending.Instead, between a rain delay and Gibson’s lengthy innings, the Orioles’ 13-1 loss to the Seattle Mariners was still in its early stages as the clock approached 10 p.m. After a one hour and 40-minute delay, Gibson required 82 pitches to get through three frames, surrendering five runs in the shortest start of his Orioles career before a disastrous bullpen effort concluded with infielder Josh Lester pitching the ninth. The 12-run margin surpassed a 12-2 loss to the Texas Rangers on May 26 as Baltimore’s worst defeat this season. Both blowouts came with the Orioles (45-29) wearing their City Connect uniforms.Gibson needed at least 34 pitches in both the second and third innings, leaving the bases the loaded while allowing a run in the second before giving up four in the next. The first six hits the veteran rig...

Rafael Devers homers, flashes leather to lead Red Sox past White Sox 3-1 For a guy who’s ranked among baseball’s most prolific run producers all season, it’s often felt like this year has been a grind for Rafael Devers.Yet tough as it’s been to find his rhythm, on nights like Friday you can see why the Red Sox invested so much in the young slugger.Devers enjoyed one of his best all-around games of the season, crushing a towering two-run home run off Chicago White Sox starter Lucas Giolito before turning a dazzling double play to stamp out a potential rally the following inning. His efforts were the difference and helped Brayan Bello outduel Giolito in the 3-1 Red Sox win.“He’s still got work to do but that’s the beauty of Raffy, he can go 0 for 4 with four strikeouts and then the next day he has three strikeouts and he puts a good swing and that happens.” said Red Sox manager Alex Cora. “He’s hitting the ball harder than ever, he’s struggling against fastballs but hitting them hard, heR...
