SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- A dead body was found in the water near Pier 39 in San Francisco on Wednesday, the San Francisco Police Department confirmed to KRON4.Officers responded to the pier at approximately 4:56 p.m. and found the body in the water. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Storm kills 5 in San Francisco Bay Area There is no evidence of foul play at the moment, SFPD said. The medical examiner will investigate the death. Katie Hobbs to carry out execution of a prisoner who is scheduled to be put to death on April 6 for his conviction in a 2002 killing. The decision marks a legal victory for the newly elected Democratic governor whose office said the state isn’t currently prepared to carry out the death penalty. The court had previously set the April 6 date for the execution of Aaron Gunches for his conviction in the shooting death of Ted Price near Mesa, Arizona.
