ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - The Kirkwood School District is hosting its 7th annual 'Unified Night Lights' flag football game Wednesday night. Last year's event was canceled due to a storm.The Kirkwood High varsity football team will play side by side with students who have disabilities. It recreates the excitement of a traditional Friday night football game. The goal is to show how sports can provide a path to friendships and break down barriers between people.It is free and open to the public. The fun begins at 6:00 p.m. Federal agents head operation on I-270 in St. Louis County Ladue Horton Watkins High School also hosts its own Unified Night Lights flag football game. It can simulate a number of medical conditions and scenarios in real time that emergency room staff might rarely experience — and therefore only be able to practice infrequently.“I don’t know anyone who doesn’t get more emotionally revved up when it’s a pediatric patient. SANTA CRUZ — Police are investigating the death of a man found Tuesday afternoon near the San Lorenzo River.Santa Cruz police officers were called shortly after 1:30 p.m. to the area of the east river levee riverwalk, near Blaine Street, for a report of a dead body in the water. Despite initial police concerns about the apparent severe trauma visible on the body’s face and forehead, Santa Cruz Deputy Chief Jon Bush said foul play appeared unlikely. The damage to the body may have been related to decomposition, rather than trauma, he said.Bush said his office was awaiting final confirmation from the coroner’s office in the coming days but that the death appeared not to be criminal in nature.
