Pedestrian Crash near 37th Street Left 46-Year-Old Man HospitalizedSAN DIEGO, CA (August 23, 2023) – Monday evening, a hit-and-run on National Avenue injured a male pedestrian.The collision happened at around 9:00 p.m., at the 3700 block of National Avenue in the neighborhood of Southcrest.According to reports, a 2020 GMC Sierra in the westbound lane hit the man attempting to cross south on National Avenue.Following the collision, the Sierra veered to the left and crashed into a wall. However, the driver did not stop and fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim.Upon arrival, authorities discovered the male victim suffering from serious injuries, including multiple fractures and a collapsed organ.Eventually, paramedics arrived at the scene and transported the 46-year-old male pedestrian to a hospital.
