No fireworks this year at Gloversville Railfest GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The 17th annual Gloversville Railfest is set for August 12 at Trail Station Park on West Fulton Street from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. However, there will be no fireworks at the event for 2023. First responders search for missing children near Potosi POTOSI, Mo. -- First responders are searching for two boys who left home Monday night. Several fire departments are working on the search. They are using drones to look for the children along Duncan Road, just east of Route F.The children live in the area and left around 8 p.m. Officers do not believe that the 9-year-old and 12-year-old are in immediate danger. Spring Creek fire burning across more than 2,577 acres in western Colorado, spreading into White River National Forest A fast-moving wildfire in western Colorado south of Parachute was burning on more than 2,577 acres Tuesday morning amid increasing winds, authorities said.This Spring Creek fire, which started over the weekend, was spreading across private land in Garfield County and had entered the White River National Forest, according to bulletins and a map posted early Tuesday by the Upper Colorado River Interagency Fire Management Unit.The cause wasn’t clear. Around 134 firefighters had been deployed to suppress the flames. Aircraft loaded with red fire retardant were expected Tuesday in an effort to bolster firefighters’ ground efforts.No evacuations had been ordered and no injuries were reported. Brown smoke wafting eastward from the area may be visible and reduce air quality.

On the high plains east of Interstate 25 along the Front Range urban corridor, wind gusts were expected to hit 40 mph. Police bust suspected firework manufacturing site in San Bernardino One person has been arrested after a large cache of fireworks were discovered in San Bernardino.Officers responded to the 1400 block of West Evans Street at 8:30 p.m. Monday night after a tipster reported illegal fireworks, which police found in plain sight, according to Sgt. Chris Gray of the San Bernardino Police Department.Officials found thousands of pounds of fireworks, multiple firearms and several kegs of black powder, which indicated to investigators that fireworks were being manufactured at the site, Gray said.On Twitter, police later said the seized amount was about 1,600 pounds over the course of two investigations, and "one of the suspects was armed with a handgun when he was arrested."Due to the large amount of explosives, the San Bernardino County Bomb Squad was called in to assist and neighbors were evacuated.The identity of the person arrested has not been released.Nancy Fontan contributed to this report.
